Yin Yoga

 A practice for every age group, Yin Yoga is a perfect balance of movement and awareness. It invites you to reflect on your internal world, noticing how poses feel vs how they look . Allowing for expansion and conscious awareness, Yin Yoga provides the opportunity for the restoration of balance and harmony that extend into all aspects of our lives.


From a physical aspect, Yin Yoga targets the fascia (connective tissue), joints, and the more 'plastic' parts throughout your body. This is accomplished through passively held poses using props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks. Poses are held for anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes (sometimes longer), encouraging a relaxing, meditative state, perfect for inner reflection. Focus on the present moment and feel the peace and calm. Receiving Reiki is physically very passive. You're typically laying down comfortably on your front or back body (sometimes both in one session). The practitioner will move their hands over certain areas of the body, channeling universal/source energy.
